Now I know I said that in my opinion, fall starts as soon as September 1st hits; however the rest of society seems to operate under the technical start of fall (which is this Thursday in case you aren’t counting down the days like me weren’t aware). That being said, I’ve decided to honor the official start of fall by dedicating this entire week of blog posts to my favorite season! Which brings me to today’s post—a fall boot haul! Boots are one of my favorite parts of any fall/winter outfit and they come in so many shapes and sizes, they can totally elevate an otherwise basic outfit. And lucky for me, JustFab was having a major boot sale recently (50% off people!) so I may have went a little bit crazy, ha! Sharing my purchases and some similar styles below!
For those who aren’t familiar with JustFab, it’s basically a subscription service for shoes! Each month they send you a personalized “boutique” of shoes, handbags, accessories and clothes that are selected specifically for you by their team of stylists. As a VIP member, each pair of shoes is only $39.95 (for the most part) which is a great deal considering their shoes are always great quality (in my experience). And if you don’t want to purchase anything that month, you just skip the month and wait to see what comes along next month! Super easy. And if you sign up with my link, you get $20 off your first order! I’ve actually been signed up with them for years now. Admittedly I haven’t used their services in a while (life in NYC is expensive!) but I do check in every once in a while to see if I can snag any good sales.
Okay, now let’s get into the details shall we?
These are the Aryssa booties in taupe. I ordered them in a size 8 and I will say that they do fit true to size for the most part. I wore them to work the other day and they started out super comfortable since they have such a flat heel, but by the end of the day my toes did start to feel a bit cramped. So maybe order a half size up there. Otherwise, I love these (especially that adorable ruffle detail on the sides!).
Moving onto these black wedge booties. I’ve seen this style for years but never owned a pair, so when I saw them on sale for under $20 I knew I had to get them! These are the Eloise bootie in black and I also ordered these in a size 8. These are super comfy thanks to the wedge heel instead of a thin stiletto heel. I also like them because they make any outfit look a bit more dressy and give me just a couple inches of extra height!
Moving on to possibly my favorite purchase this fall—these over the knee beauties! Omg you guys, this is my first pair of OTK boots and wow do I love them! They’re the Abbie Flat Boot also in taupe. I ordered these in an 8.5 (I read in the reviews that they run a bit small) and in the “wide width” vs. regular width, to make sure I had plenty of room in them to wear over jeans/pants as it gets colder this season. And can I just say, these are perfect y’all! The material is so incredibly soft and they fit perfectly. There is a tie detail in the back so you can tighten/loosen them as much as you need and I can’t say enough good things about these.
Finally onto these cognac booties. Y’all know how I feel about some cognac accessories, but sadly these didn’t fit all that great. They’re a bit tight in the toe area, which was surprising so I recommend ordering at least a half size up in these. Oh, they’re the Freda bootie by the way. I ordered them in an 8 but will be exchanging them for an 8.5 so they’re more comfortable with socks. Luckily JustFab is great with returns/exchanges and offers both for free!
