Fall Wishlist 2018: What I’m Eyeing & Buying This Month

Today’s short and sweet NY Minute Read is all about my favorite fall finds and all the goods that I have my eye on right now. With the first day of fall literally right around the corner (this weekend!), I figured there was no better time than to share my fall wishlist with you guys.

And truth be told, I love doing these roundups. Mainly because it means I get to spend hours browsing my favorite sites’ new arrivals and picking and choosing my favorite items. Also because, being a graphic designer and all, I just really enjoy making these collages. I also feel like it helps give me a clear vision of what I’m looking for this season/month. It helps my shopping trips stay focused and I end up with less of the fluff pieces that I end up hating sooner rather than later.

This fall I’m all about classic, staple pieces that I can mix and match a ton of ways. This is pretty much my usual style, but in fall this also means going for more earthy and neutral tones versus the poppy reds and sunflower yellows of spring and summer. I’m also focusing on updating my wardrobe and becoming a bit more polished overall. Don’t get me wrong. I love a nice pair of distressed jeans, a saggy oversize sweater, and my staple black leggings, but at my new job I want to come off a bit more dressy and “grown up” for lack of a better word…ah, mature, that’s the word I was looking for. So that means less trendy and flashy pieces, aside from special occasions, and more cute, mature pieces.
