So over the last year or two I got really, really into makeup. Something about the convenience of being able to buy it online really hooked me in and I found myself casually browsing my favorite brand’s websites at least once a week, ha! Naturally, I’ve acquired quite a bit of lipstick over the last couple years and today I want to share my five favorite lippies for fall! These are the colors I’ve been reaching for over the last couple weeks and that I can totally see myself wearing for the rest of the season with basically every outfit.
First up we have this lippie stix by one of my favorite brands, ColourPop. ColourPop has great quality products for crazy affordable prices. Plus they’re awesome because they have a huge assortment of products (lipsticks, glosses, highlighters, blushes, brushes!) and a ton of colors that you won’t feel guilty about ordering a bunch of since they’re so inexpensive. They picked up steam on social media because of their famous Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks (which are great!) but I personally love the lippie stix because the formula is so creamy and is so easy to apply and touch up throughout the day. This one, Goldie, is a deep, brick red color that is so classic for fall.
Next up we have my other favorite makeup brand, Kylie Cosmetics. Now I know this one is a bit of a love or hate situation (some people REALLY don’t like the Kardashians/Jenners and therefore don’t support their products, which is fine!) but let me tell you, girlfriend knows what she’s doing with her makeup line. Seriously, I would never support a brand whose products I didn’t love, and I’m a huge fan of her products. They’re a bit more pricey but the quality is great and I’ll admit, I definitely buy into the hype around her new releases, ha! This one in particular is her matte liquid lipstick in the shade Ginger. This one is a nice terracotta-brown color on me and I really like how neutral it is. This is a matte lipstick and the formula really does hold up and stay on for most of the day once dry.
Onto number three, we have what has probably become my all-time favorite lipstick. I seriously wear this one most days and almost always have it in my purse for emergencies— it’s that good! This is the Daydream lippie stix (also by ColourPop) and it’s the perfect neutral mauve shade for my complexion. I ordered this early this year and it quickly became my everyday lip color. Same creamy formula and easy application as Goldie, and a truly gorgeous color that would look great on pretty much everyone!
Moving on to another fave from Kylie Cosmetics, we have the Spice lip kit. This shade is a great berry color that is perfect for fall! It’s actually a bit darker than I imagined it would be (the risk of buying online!) but I will say it’s great for a fall date night look. This guy is the same formula as her other lip kit that I mentioned earlier, so it goes on as a liquid and dries perfectly matte and doesn’t transfer.
Last but certainly not least, we have this beautiful, classic, perfect red by ColourPop! This is their Trust Me… lippie stix and y’all, I just love this lipstick. It is my go-to red when I want to add a pop of color to my look. Great for day or night, you just can’t go wrong with a classic red lip during fall. I’m actually wearing this as I type this right now, ha! Seriously if you’re on the market for a great red lipstick, this is your guy. Case closed.
*PS—it only took ONE of these makeup remover wipes that I mentioned in this post to get all those swatches off my arm! My girls that also love matte lipsticks know this struggle, ha!
