Oh…hey there! I know, long time no see around here lately. I took an unplanned hiatus from the blog during the holidays and truly have missed it so much. I plan to share a post soon with a little life update/catch-up but until then I really wanted to get this February mood board up, albeit nearly the end of the month already. Better late than never, right?
I’ve always loved this month; probably because my birthday falls right in the middle of it, just a few days before Valentine’s Day. I’m a true Aquarius so February feels like my time to shine. Plus, being so close to the start of the new year, my birthday always kind of feels like my own personal fresh start to make new goals and intentions for the year ahead. It’s also Black History Month, so friendly reminder that I shared over 50 black content creators last year! Check out the blog post for some amazing women you should be following asap.

February Intentions
1) Implement a true morning routine. I mentioned this on Twitter last month I think, but basically while working from home I’ve felt like I want to create more routine and structure in my days. Something to center me each day and help me start each day on a positive note. Working remotely during this pandemic has made it easy to just get used to sleeping past my alarm, rolling out of bed and opening my laptop right away on the couch and getting to work. While it has worked thus far, it’s not my ideal start to the day. So this month, I’m ready to change that and start implementing some healthy morning habits. Stay tuned for a blog post on that soon.
2) Get my apartment back in order. Now that we are finally back in NYC I want to straighten up our place, finish my “pantry” reorganization project that I started last year (LOL), and continue decorating a little more. We’ve been working on building out a gallery wall in our living room, and recent home decor releases have really been inspiring me to do a little spring refresh in our apartment. Let me know if you would want to see a blog post or Youtube video on that this spring!
3) Start implementing a healthier lifestyle. It’s just time. To get back to working out. To get back to cooking more meals at home and trying out new recipes. To taking better care of myself! Health is so important, especially as we get older, and I am ready to start taking it all more seriously and make healthier choices.
February Style Picks
February has been all about cozies and loungewear. I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t peeked at some of the new spring arrivals littering our favorite brands’ sites right now, but I’ll hold off on purchasing and sharing those until next month. For now, you’ll find me in the softest sweats and leggings, in shades of heather gray, oatmeal, blush pink, and cream.
I hope you enjoyed today’s post—the first of 2021! You can expect a monthly mood board along with my intentions/goals and style picks from here on out, so make sure to check back each month! Let me know what you’re most looking forward to this year and as always, head over to Instagram, Twitter or Facebook to follow along in real time.
