Welcome to the first monthly recap of 2019! Here I’ll share all the things I loved, bought, watched, listened to and more during the previous month.
Pretty Little Purchases
I really didn’t do much shopping this month. I guess I’m still trying to let my wallet recover from all the gifts and holiday things last month. Plus with Christmas just passing, I didn’t feel like I really *needed* to buy anything new. But as for the things I did buy…
Fave Purchases:
My new iPhone! I mentioned this over on Twitter but I finally decided to upgrade myself and get the iPhone XS Max.
This adorable Harry Potter bracelet that I actually found through Linda’s blog (CURRENTLY ON SALE FOR UNDER $20).
Colourpop (my faves) released their new mascara this month! It’s actually coming in the mail today so I can’t give a full review but I’m super excited about it.
Pretty Little Memories
January has been an interesting month haha. I feel like it’s been super long and it took a little while to get going but I’m grateful for it ending on a high note. I started yoga at Y7 this month, which I talk more about here and that I’ve been loving; I booked my birthday trip which I am SO excited about; I secured a couple of really exciting blog partnerships that will be coming in the next couple of months that I am so grateful for and excited to share with you guys; and finally I’m participating in a book club with some of my sorority sisters! We all live in different cities up and down the east coast so it’s nice a) reading a good book and b) dissecting it with some of my best friends.
Pretty Little Posts
January was a light month for blog posts over here and for that, I seriously apologize. I had a hard time getting motivated this month and I let myself get in my head too much. Onward and upward for the rest of 2019!

What I Listened to…
I listened to a lot of podcasts this month! I’ve been trying to find some new ones since I usually listen to atleast one episode per day at work, so I go through my faves quickly. Some of my current favorites are Pretty Basic by Youtubers Remi Ashten and Alisha Marie, Betch Slapped by The Betches, The Betchelor (a Bachelor recap podcast) by The Betches, The Influencer Podcast by Julie Solomon and Blogging Unscripted by Danielle Gervino.
What I Watched…
Obviously, we watched both Fyre Festival documentaries because that’s all anyone was talking about this month! Personally I loved them both and find the whole thing to be fascinating. I definitely recommend seeing both if you haven’t yet because they really build off of each other and offer different sides to the ridiculous story. We also have been watching a little bit of Blackish which I love, The Bachelor obviously (btw I live tweet the episodes this season so, like, come join me over on Twitter!), and Siesta Key which just started back up on MTV. Also, I don’t know if this is embarrassing to admit, but I basically binged the new season of Four Weddings on TLC On Demand this month lol. I don’t know why but I got super into it and they changed up the format this season so I found it to be so good! Okay moving on.
Where We Ate…
Dutch Freds
Me and my best friend Vanessa tried this place for brunch one day and it was really good! They had a live band playing and the singer was literally phenomenal; she sounded just like Beyonce, I swear. I even told her so by the end of our brunch, which may or may not have been fueled by a good amount of mimosas (lol), but I maintain my stance that she was amazing. We got the tater tots because duh, the chicken & waffles, and the tres leches french toast. Everything was delicious plus they offer bottomless drinks so it’s a win-win all around.
Vida Verde
Me and Vanessa went to grab dinner and drinks here to celebrate our sorority’s Founder’s Day! This is a super cool mexican place in Midtown that has some of the best* mexican food I’ve had in the city. The guac is delicious, the quesadillas are so, so good and Vanessa raved about her tacos so I’d say we definitely recommend it. We’d also been here once before and got the steak nachos—also incredible. They also have great drinks!

Peter Pan Donuts
We actually popped by here last weekend when we were shooting photos around Greenpoint. They make these huge delicious donuts and they’re only $1.25 each.
Ovenly
Also popped by here last weekend to grab some cupcakes for my birthday shoot (which I can’t wait to share on here!!). Ovenly makes this famous cake called Brooklyn Blackout Cake (basically a chocolate heaven) and if you know me, you know that anything with ridiculous amounts of chocolate I am 100% down for. This is one of my absolute favorite cakes so of course I had to treat myself to some cupcakes.
