Welcome to my monthly recap! Here I’ll share all the things I loved, bought, watched, listened to and more during the previous month.Â
Pretty Little Purchases
Whelp, I completely caved on my “no spring purchases” efforts from February. I bought SO MUCH SPRING STUFF last month, I’m not sure if I should be ashamed of myself or happy that my closet is basically all set for the coming months ahead. The one thing keeping me from feeling too crappy is this Blogger Closet Sale that I’m participating in! It’s Saturday, April 13th so if you’re in NYC and feel like a little retail therapy, stop by! More deets can be found here. Any way, the fact that I’ll be cleaning out my closet and purging some things to make room for the new stuff makes me feel a bit better. I think Marie Kondo would be proud…right?
Fave Purchases:
This gorgeous GMG Collection dress from the March collection
This super comfy jumpsuit that is perfect for traveling, errands, you name it
Freaking obsessed with this embroidered Anthropologie skirt
These jeans are so perfect for spring and summer with their cropped fit and raw edge
The perfect mirror for our bedroom and I’m so glad I finally pulled the trigger and bought it
Pretty Little Memories
March felt simultaneously long and short. I constantly was surprised that it was already mid-month or end-of-month, but also was kind of ready for April to get here already (and bring some warm weather with it!). Thinking back to March though, I feel like I was really busy. Not in a good or bad way I guess, but I definitely feel like I’ve been feeling more overwhelmed as of late and generally feel like there just aren’t enough hours in the day to do all the things I want/need to do. Some fun things that happened though: celebrated a new product launch and was introduced to the awesome skincare that is Paula’s Choice; attended another Duct Tape & A Dream conference by Brittany Hennessy (obsessed with her!); went to Philly for the weekend to shoot one of my oldest friend’s engagement photos (we’ve seriously been friends since the 2nd grade!); got to go to some awesome events with Out Of Office Media through their new influencer program and connected with some lovely NYC bloggers; went to Dessert Goals because #desserts; and finally enjoyed some time with friends like happy hour with my best friends (one was in town from Ohio & I hadn’t seen her since her wedding last year!) and a Sunday Funday brunch with my old college squad. Great times! Also feel obligated to note: I got called for jury duty for the first time and have been serving for the last week and a half. Definitely an interesting experience and I’m happy to report that this is the last week, haha.

February 2019 Recap
What I Listened to…
Craig has been absolutely obsessed with this song Old Town Road by Lil Nas X and it’s definitely growing on me too. But honestly I mostly listened to Spotify’s U.S. Top 50 playlist a lot and the Comments by Celebs podcast.
What I Watched…
So…if you follow me on Instagram then you probably saw yesterday that we’re currently binging Game of Thrones. Yep, I finally caved and decided to see what all of the hype was about. This is basically Craig’s favorite show so he has been super pumped for the final season to air in a couple weeks and is absolutely living for our binge sessions. We’re on season 5 now and have some serious work to do to finish the next 2.5 seasons before the premiere.
We also saw Jordan Peele’s Us in theaters as well as Captain Marvel. I enjoyed Captain Marvel but was not exactly impressed by Us…don’t kill me! Feel free to leave your think-pieces in the comments. I feel like maybe the point of the movie went over my head? I will say it was entertaining though, in a scream-at-the-movie-screen-with-strangers kind of way.
Where We Ate…
Pies & Thighs
Craig’s younger sisters were in town during their college spring break so we knew we had to take them to one of our favorite Brooklyn spots for dinner. Southern comfort food is my weakness and their Chicken Biscuit is unlike anything else. Just try it.
French Cheese Board
I went here for an event with Out Of Office Media and had so much fun! It’s basically a fancy cheese place that also has special events where they pair different things with cheese. The day we went was a wine and cheese night and everything was so good.
Roberta’s
Famous for their authentic brick oven pizza, Craig and I knew we had to give this place a try and it did not dissapoint! We devoured our pizza and they also had good drinks; I’d recommend the rum punch and to steer clear of the Fyre Fest drink (unless you like licorice then you’ll love it!).
Two Saints
My best friends and I went here for dinner and drinks one night and it was really cool! A nice low-key lounge in Brooklyn, with excellent drinks and good food. I got the Strawberry Fields drink (very good) as well as a fresh pepperoni pizza with (my love) Mike’s Hot Honey drizzle. So, so good.
Buttermilk Channel
Tried this spot for Sunday Funday brunch the other day and it was so, so good! We ended up having to wait an hour to be seated so we hung out at the bar across the street first (hence Sunday Funday). Highly recommend the buttermilk pancakes (seriously WOW), and the buttermilk biscuits…anyone else sensing a theme here?
