Doesn’t this matching two piece set just give you all the summer vibes? When I saw it at Forever 21 I just knew I had to try it on. The colorful flowers gave me slight “5th grade Kacie vibes” but I figured I would still give it a go and pair it with heels or wedges to “adultify” it (for lack of a real world, ha!). Anyway when I tried it on, I instantly fell in love. First of all I’d been eyeing matching sets all spring/summer so when I stumbled upon this one for such an affordable price it made my day. Secondly, the fabric was so light and airy, especially with the back detail, that I knew it would be the perfect outfit for a hot summer day!
Now I’m not super comfortable going bra-less in public but I knew that I wanted something cute to show through the back cutouts instead of a basic bra strap. Enter this adorable bralette (also from Forever 21). It was the perfect rusty/slightly mauve-y/dusty rose color and I fell in love. I love me a good lace bralette, yall. And there it was! My perfect summer outfit. Now obviously I decided to forego the heels and stick to my favorite sandals from DSW for this post (have you tried walking around NYC in heels? No thank you!) but you can totally dress this little baby up with some cute wedges or chunky heels. I also love that you can wear these pieces separately too! The top would look so cute with a pair of high waist denim cutoffs. My bag is from Forever 21 as well, and I just loved the pale pink color plus it’s a great size to hold the 18 million things that we feel like we need to carry around with us at all times, ha!
But now that summer is ending and the cooler Fall weather is slowly creeping in, I’ll be tucking this outfit away until next year. I think I have one more summery look for you guys and then get ready for all the fall vibes over here on PLH!
