Welcome to monthly recaps on PLH! This is a new series to replace Weekly Rewinds (weekly recaps), where I’ll share all the things I loved, bought, watched, listened to and more during the previous month.
Pretty Little Purchases
We all know I did the absolute most on Black Friday & Cyber Monday this year, so let’s just get into some of my favorite purchases.
Fave Purchases:
The cutest winter PJs from Victoria’s Secret. I get these every single year and I love them!
These super pretty earrings that I can’t wait to add to my outfits for a fun pop of color.
The Kylie Cosmetics holiday collection because I have minimal self-control when it comes to sparkly things.
This mug that I CANNOT wait to come in the mail!! Seriously the cutest.
These gorgeous coasters that I’ve been eyeing for months and finally picked up on Cyber Monday.
Pretty Little Memories
Wow November seriously flew by, which isn’t totally surprising since I feel like the end of the year always goes by super fast since there’s a ton going on. This month was fun for a few reasons; the biggest being Thanksgiving! I spent this Thanksgiving in Philly with my cousins and niece and nephew(who are like my siblings), plus my dad and his side of the family that I don’t get to see all that often. Craig also came with me and it was SO nice spending that time with family and enjoying old and new holiday traditions. Ugh I feel all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it.
Other fun November things included our double Friendsgiving! We first had one with a group of friends where we got together and made homemade pizzas from scratch, played some drinking games and listened to holiday music. It was so much fun! The next day we went to brunch with one of our best friends since college at my favorite brunch spot. It definitely did not disappoint.
Also saw Mean Girls on Broadway with my best friend, Vanessa; it was hilarious, you guys. Seriously so good.

What I Listened to…
I feel like I listened to some really random music in November. I actively tried to avoid Christmas music since it felt too early, but I did randomly get back into Taylor Swift’s Reputation album last week and have been listening to it ever since.
What I Watched…
So many shows are ending this month! All of our MTV shows ended, and This Is Us just aired the finale this week (we still need to catch up on that though). We went to the movies the day that Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald came out (of course) and honestly I didn’t think it was all that great. Pretty disappointing since we are huge Potter fans over here. I’m holding out hope that the next one will be better though. On Thanksgiving night we watched How The Grinch Stole Christmas with my family, which was fun and officially kicked off Christmas movie season for me! Oh, I also watched a bunch of Gossip Girl this month. I’m binging it for the second time and currently kicking off season three.
Where We Ate…
STK
Oh my gosh, you guys, STK was amazing. Craig and I went here to celebrate my new job (a bit belated but better late than never!) and it was phenomenal. If you aren’t familiar, STK is a high end steakhouse with multiple locations in NYC and around the country I believe. Highly recommend the filet mignon and lobster mac ‘n cheese. We also ordered the chocolate chip cookie sundae for dessert and it was divine!
Jacob’s Pickles
THIS IS MY FAVORITE BRUNCH PLACE IN NYC! I can list off at least five to ten brunch spots that I absolutely love but Jacob’s Pickles has to top that list. It’s this amazing southern comfort food spot on the Upper West Side and when I tell you that everything on the menu is incredible, I mean it. I always go back and forth between the gravy smothered chicken and biscuits, or the chicken and pancakes (their spin on chicken and waffles!) and they are both THAT good. We took one of our best friends, Misch, here and he was floored, haha. 10/10 every time.
Cheesecake Factory
This is one of me and my dad’s favorite dinner spots so we decided to go out for dinner (with Craig) the day after Thanksgiving. I hadn’t been to a Cheesecake Factory since moving to NYC and it was still as good as I remember it. The 30th Anniversary Cheesecake is the best!
