Welcome to monthly recaps on PLH! This is a new series to replace Weekly Rewinds (weekly recaps), where I’ll share all the things I loved, bought, watched, listened to and more during the previous month.
Pretty Little Purchases
I want to say that I shopped a little less this month but I also feel like that’s a lie, haha. The seemingly endless pile of packages in our apartment definitely would say otherwise…
Fave Purchases:
The Disney Collection by Colourpop Cosmetics (everything was so beautiful and they’re restocking soon!!)
My new LifePlanner by Erin Condren! (This was actually gifted to me by the amazing team at Erin Condren, however I’m obsessed and can’t wait to start sharing my spreads with you guys)
These platform sneakers (they’re just so versatile and can go with so many outfits)
This skirt from the Atlantic Pacific x Halogen collection
This puffer coat from J.Crew (your girl REALLY needed a good coat for this year)
The Penelope dress from GMG Collection (waited for this to go on sale and I’m so glad I snagged it before it sold out!)
Pretty Little Memories
October was probably the busiest month of 2018 for me, which was a good and bad thing. Good, because I made so many fun memories and was genuinely excited about all the things we had planned. Some of those things would include apple picking, of course; heading down to DC to see some of my best friends and shoot a fun project; going to the Erin Condren event at the Flour Shop in SoHo, which was SO much fun and I loved meeting some other NYC bloggers; and going to Dessert Goals again this month (we’ve now been to every single one since they started haha). The only problem with all of these, otherwise fun, plans is that doing things every weekend and sometimes after work, is exhausting for me. Working on this right now, I feel the exhaustion after this crazy month, and I am so looking forward to the weekend and a more quiet November.
*I also hope that didn’t come off as complaining! Definitely not what I’m trying to do. Just want to be open and honest here since we are all human.

What I Listened to…
For some reason I was feeling really nostalgic last month, and I listened to a bunch of childhood throwbacks that my mom and I would sing together. Think: old Mariah Carey, Monica, Whitney Houston, and Vanessa Williams. I love listening to those songs and remembering fun times with my mom. She’s my world, in case you didn’t know ?
What I Watched…
A lot of our favorite TV shows are mid-season right now. Some of our current faves are The Challenge, Are You The One?, Survivor, and (for me) Teen Mom. We’ve also been watching a TON of football; Craig is a huge football fan and I’m a die hard Eagles fan so naturally we watch the games every weekend. We also went to go see A Star Is Born in theaters a couple weeks ago and to be very honest with you, it was not my cup of tea. I know, unpopular opinion. I will say it was a good movie but without getting too much into it, I wasn’t prepared for the weight of it all, and I firmly believe it should come with a trigger warning. I’ll leave it at that…
Where We Ate…
Bubba Gump Shrimp
I met up with some of my old coworkers for dinner and drinks here one night and it was so fun! Forrest Gump is one of my favorite movies so I really wanted to try this spot, even though it’s a bit of a tourist attraction in the middle of Times Square. I will say that the food actually wasn’t all that great, unfortunately, but the atmosphere was awesome and I really enjoyed myself.
Five Napkin Burger
Me and one of my best friends, Vanessa (who does all of my illustrations on here/IG!) stopped by here for dinner after we saw Mean Girls in theaters on October 3rd. It was a cute restaurant right by Union Square and the food was really good. If you’re looking to grab a good burger and fries in NYC, I’d recommend this place.
WilliamsBurger
Anyone sensing a trend here? I love a good burger, and me and Craig order delivery from here often enough that we decided one Friday night to go into the restaurant for a little date night. It was really cute, right in Williamsburg in Brooklyn, and the food was so good, as usual. They also had these milkshakes that I was dying to try but didn’t, so we’ll have to go back for those babies soon!
