Welcome to my monthly recap! Here I’ll share all the things I loved, bought, watched, listened to and more during the previous month.
Well September came and went in the blink of an eye and I cant’ believe we’re already into October. Even more crazy— there’s only like 12 weeks left in 2019 AND this decade! What?! The countdown to 2020 is officially on and based on how September flew by, I have a feeling the rest of this year is going to be a whirlwind. But let’s slow down for a sec and chat September, shall we?
Pretty Little Purchases
Last month was all about transitioning my closet to all things fall and let me tell you I am so happy the weather has been cooling down and I’ve been able to break out some of my old faves. I probably shopped a little too much last month but some of my favorite purchases were…
Fave Purchases:
This eye cream. I’ve never been one to use an eye cream before but since this was sent to me in a PR package I decided to try it out and have been loving it! I use it every single day.
This face wash has been nice and gentle on my skin and myself and Craig have really been loving it! Just ordered a refill for when we run out.
This tiered midi dress is everything! Coming to the blog very soon but needed to mention it since it’s on sale for around $30 and I’ve purchased it in both colors!
This water bottle to keep on my desk at work. It’s so pretty and has helped me drink more water!
This drugstore lip tint crayon has been my go-to lip product for the last month. It goes on so smooth and the formula isn’t sticky at all.
Pretty Little Memories
September was kind of packed but a good month overall. I attended the Anthropologie Fall Fashion Show where they had real women & customers model the new collection in their Financial District location. It was really fun and obviously picked up some goodies while I was there. Omg and we had a Labor Day cookout/ house warming party on our new rooftop at our apartment! We had such a great time hanging out with friends and christening our new outdoor space. We’ve always loved hosting people since moving to NYC so it was really great doing so in our new space and we’re already planning our next big event for November *insert eye emoji*…
We also went apple picking for the first time this season which y’all know is my FAVORITE thing to do when fall rolls around. We went to our usual place in upstate NY and had the best time. Other than that, I ended the month with a trip down to Miami to celebrate my good friend and sorority sister’s baby shower! It was so much fun having a girls’ weekend down in our old stomping grounds and celebrating the upcoming arrival of her sweet baby boy. Cannot wait to spoil that little nugget!

What I Listened to…
Still listening to T.Swift’s Lover album. Still disappointed by Kanye and his complete disregard for our feelings by not putting out new albums when he says he will. Same shit, different year lol.
What I Watched…
We saw Hustlers in theaters and really enjoyed it! I didn’t have much expectations going in but the ladies were all so amazing and my girl Cardi B was hilarious. Also didn’t know it was a true story based in NYC! Craig and I also watched John Wick 3 at home one night and it was good! Kind of random but I really like action movies like that except the hand-to-hand combat scenes were a little much for me and started to get exhausting by the end.
We also kicked off fall by watching Practical Magic with some friends one night. I’d never heard of it before but it was fun watching an “old” classic fall movie (made in 1998!) with some familiar faces like Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock (aka “The Lady From Bird Box” according to Gen Z kids lol.)
As far as TV shows— Power on Starz came back for its final season and obviously we’ve been watching. It’s a lot to process sometimes and I’m just hoping my faves make it out of this final season alive at this point.
Where We Ate…
Maman NYC
Their Greenpoint location is near my office in Brooklyn and I love popping over to this super cute coffee shop/cafe sometimes during the work week. The Katie chicken sandwich is SO good and their pastry assortment is amazing.

The Counter NYC
This is a semi-random burger spot in the middle of Times Square that we always end up at after we see a Broadway play or show in the area. They have a bunch of really good burgers (I usually get the sliders), loaded tots, and a full bar and cocktail menu. It’s a great late-night stop if you’re in the area and want a quick bite.
