This month is absolutely flying by already. I can’t believe we are nearly mid-month and this mood board post is late, late, late. This month I am looking full steam ahead towards summer with some serious wanderlust on the brain. With the weather getting nicer, we’ve been getting outside so much more often and we’re now fully-vaccinated so #ShotGirlSummer is officially on!
May Intentions
1) This month I am prioritizing my mental health; recognizing when I need to take a step back and rest without feeling guilty about it; and being more sensitive to the signs of burnout/overwhelm before I’m having a full on meltdown, haha. May is Mental Health Awareness Month so the timing couldn’t be more serendipitous honestly. I had a few rocky days last month where I just felt so overwhelmed with work and my blogging/entrepreneurial goals and life in general, that I really want to get a better handle on things and work on staying present.
2) Eat healthier/more intuitively. I feel like I’ve mentioned this a few times here on the blog but this year I’ve just felt more ready to take better care of myself than I ever have before. I want to be more intentional with what I’m eating and take note of how these small changes make me feel. I’ve been trying to incorporate more fruits and veggies into my diet, by replacing one dinner each night with a salad and protein and have been really liking this so far! I know that isn’t a big deal to some people, but trust me, I have never been a big salad person so having one for dinner each week is big for me. (Are you sensing a theme here with this month’s intentions? All about taking better care of myself right now!)
3) Put up a new Youtube video! I didn’t launch my Youtube channel to become a Youtuber by any means, but I do want to be more consistent with it. Nothing crazy—just one or two new videos per month is my goal right now. On the docket are a few travel vlogs from trips that got overshadowed by the pandemic last year, and a summer try on haul! May Style Picks
So. Many. Dresses. Like, if you asked my boyfriend Craig he’d probably say TOO many dresses, haha. This month I’ve been grabbing all the pretty, breezy dresses for the summer months ahead as well as a few pairs of new sandals that I’m very excited about. Since we’re still working remotely, we’ll be heading down to Florida for a good part of the summer so I can’t wait to wear all my new summer pieces down there!
