There’s simply nothing in this world that is more important to me than family. And last weekend I got to spend some much needed family time at home in Philly. Now like I said in this post, I want this blog to be a window into my life; and again, that wouldn’t be complete without my family. So today I’m sharing another photo diary style post (check out my apple picking photo diary from last week!), from our family trip to the local farm & pumpkin patch. Our moms would take us here when we were kids, so it was so special to get to bring my niece and nephew there this year! Gotta keep the family traditions alive! So without further ado, PLH fam, please meet my actual family: my cousins, Leah and Travis (who are more like the siblings I never had), and my nephew, Roman, and niece, Vivian (Viv for short). <3
You know when you take a trip, no matter how long, and you just come back feeling refreshed? Like your soul feels lighter? Well this trip did that for me. It’s not that there was anything really WRONG happening in my life here in NYC, but there’s something about going home for a bit and being surrounded by people who unconditionally love you and know you better than anyone else…I don’t know how to explain it, haha, but if you get me, you get me. This trip was so much fun, and hanging at the pumpkin patch with the kids while munching on (too many!) apple cider donuts was pure perfection.
What are some of your family traditions? I’m so curious to know, especially with the holidays rapidly approaching (can you even believe it?!). Let me know in the comments and make sure you’re following me on Instagram to keep up with my upcoming travels! Have a fabulous Tuesday 🙂
