IT’S MY 1 YEAR BLOGIVERSARY! Okay technically it was yesterday, but this is my blog and I can be a day late if I want, lol. But seriously, this past year has actually flown by and I can’t believe we are here already. I started PLH last year after wanting to start a blog for probably an entire year before that. I’d been a huge blog reader for about a year or two and when I mentioned to my friends that I was considering starting my own, they were like UM YES! Seriously without their support and encouragement, I’m not sure PLH would be a thing or even close to what it is today, so thank you to all of my friends that have supported and encouraged me along the way so far! You guys are everything. And whether you’re new here or you’ve been here the entire time, I want to thank you so, so much for stopping by my little corner of the internet.
Wow that got off topic real fast. Sorry about that! Today’s special Sunday Chat is going to be all about this past year at PLH, rounding up my absolute favorite blog posts since Day 1. We’ve covered a little bit of everything in this past year, from cute fall outfits, to beauty faves; inspirational posts and hustle tips; to raw and real posts about things that I’m struggling with. My Favorite PLH Posts From the Past Year
The Coziest of Cardigans + A Fall Picnic: wow this was one of my FIRST posts on PLH and I was so nervous to shoot it but I loved how it turned out and we had the cutest picnic out of it! Definitely on the list of posts to do again this year.
Sunday Chat: 4 Year Anniversary Q&A w/ Craig: As y’all know, we just celebrated our 5 year anniversary and did another fun little post together last week here on PLH. I love doing these because I get to show you guys another side of me and bring Craig into the blog so you guys can meet him a bit!
Sunday Chat: My NYC Story: I loved writing this first because it helped give you guys background about how I got to NYC and learn more about me. This was a great foundational post for PLH.
Fall Home Tour 2017: OMG last year was the first year I really committed to decorating my apartment for Fall, and I loved how it all came out. Definitely time to break out the decor again this year ??
Apple Picking in Upstate NY: Wow apple picking is easily one of my favorite things to do, and this day was absolutely magical. It was so much fun escaping the city for the day, picking some fresh apples, and stuffing our faces with the world’s best apple cider donuts!
Pumpkin Patch & Family Time: This post will always be close to my heart because I got to include my little lovebugs (aka my niece and nephew). Family is EVERYTHING to me and I want to incorporate more of the people I love this year.
Bell Sleeves in Central Park: I just really loved this sweater and Craig did a great job shooting this one ?
Holiday Home Tour 2017: If you know me at all you know that I’m like the world’s biggest Christmas fanatic so this post obviously had to make the cut. It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
How to Actually Get What You Want in 2018: I LOVED writing this post and I definitely want to do more of these if you guys would like!
2017 Reflections: Peaks, Valleys, & Getting Personal: This post was so therapeutic to write. I got to share more personal things that were going on with me and also reflect on the amazing things that happened in 2017. Definitely will keep this going and do this every new year.
Turning 25 & 5 Life Lessons I Learned: My first birthday post with PLH! I don’t remember if I mentioned this in the post but WOW, this was THE COLDEST PHOTO SHOOT I’ve ever done. We shot that on like a 7 degree day and I was an icicle by the end. Anything for the shot though ?
Trust the Timing of Your Life: Another fun personal post that I loved getting to document and share with you guys! Can’t help but smile by the time I finish reading this one.
Gaining Perspective & Giving Back: Another feel good/personal post that I absolutely LOVE. I still try to do this “giving back challenge” and I love it.
Style Splurge: Gal Meets Glam Collection Dress: Ugh this has to be one of my favorite shoots ever. I’m still in love with this Gal Meets Glam dress and the Cherry Blossom Festival in Brooklyn is a must-do every year.

Woo! That was a lot longer than I planned lol. Honestly it was just so much fun going through all of my posts from the past year and reliving all these memories. This is exactly why I started this blog honestly; to document my life and be able to go back and see how far we’ve come! So thank you again for keeping up with me this year. It’s exceeded my expectations and while I can’t say that it isn’t hard work, I wouldn’t change a thing. Get ready for a year of more content, more fun, and just MORE.
